B) Hussien did support Terrorism. 1) Abu Nidal Organization 2) Hamas 3) Hezabollahs 4) And yes small amounts of Al Qaeda (The lie that liberals make is that they claimed that Bush made the claim that Hussien had connections to 9/11 which is false)
C) Hussien did try to buy Uranium Yellowcake from Niger and that's found to be proven true by the Senate despite the lies spouted by Joe Wilson.

FX's new drama OVER THERE about an Army unit in Iraq is well produced and visually arresting but takes a sharp left turn from reality.

After watching the Pilot episode of 'Over There,' I conclude that the only thing they got right were the uniforms which, right down to the black socks used to cover goggles, were spot on.

Unfortunately, the costume designer is the only person who seems to have actually studied the war, pictures of the war or video of the war.

As someone who has been over there it was easy to see that if Steven Bochco hired a military consultant, he didn't pay attention to him or, if they did listen to him, that consultant should be fired.

In Bochco's depiction of the war, the tactics are wrong, the dialogue is wrong, the set-ups are wrong and the scenarios are ridiculous.
...

WMDs were only one reason for going to war. Even though it proved to be mostly false (and tnt isn't a wmd ), it can't be said that we the people were intentionally misled. EVERY MAJOR INTELLIGENCE AGENCY IN THE WORLD was sure Saddam had reinstituted his WMD program. This includes even Russia, who was vehemently opposed to the war. They actually warned us that Saddam had plans to sell his WMD to Al Qaeda. But aside from the WMD thing, Iraq violated hundreds of UN resolutions, including shooting at our planes on a very regular basis that were patrolling the no fly zone SO HE DIDN'T TRY AND GAS HIS OWN PEOPLE AGAIN.

And yes, it has been shown time and time again that Iraq has supported terrorsits. If paying the families of suicide bombers and training terrorists in country isn't supporting terrorism I don't know what is.

I realize this might be hard for your 14 year old brain to take in, but maybe you can have your parents explain it to you.

That was awesome

And in regards to the show

I WANT MY MOTHER FUCKING HOUR BACK
That was possibly the worst fucking thing Ive ever seen on television. I was so pissed off after seeing this OH MY FUCKING GOSH I was pissed. I was hoping this was going to be true to life, but rarely have I seen something that was supposed to be the truth, farther from the truth.

And the character introduction, for fuck sake just put "join the army now" in the title, then that ass hole has a be all you can be shirt on. Come the fuck on. And if I was a lt, getting bitched out by a fucking sgt, in front of our co, ok thats fine, criticism is good, it can teach you things, but in front of my own men FUCK NO. I would have beat the shit out of that mother fucker cause that would have never EVER EVER happened.

And it was stated in the other thread but shit the characters, they suck.
The innocent lovable white guy from cornbread usa
The educated married white guy
The thug black guy who hates white people
The independant chic who wouldnt take a mans help even to save her life
The sergeant, I dont think i even need to say what was wrong with this fuckstick
The stupid officer
The officer that listens to his nco and degrades his subordinant officer in front of his men

The normal black chic and the normal black guy, they were normal, and had reason in thier head...out of place amongst the coudry of shittastic characters

Where did that humvee come from and where the fuck did it go.
Why were there only 7 guys taking on a mosk full of insurgents, where were the other sqauds.
Where did that burm come from they were behind.
How in the fuck, did these guys not already know each other. I was new to my unit when I got to iraq, they actually got there before I did. But I was in California with 21 other guys for a month for pre deployment shit and I got to know those guys pretty well. Point being why cant there be dialogue'd character development instead of "hey x, why do they call you x?" for every fucking character. SHIT

And the end part. Ok, lets just requesition and truck and a humvee and a crew serve and drive on down to the next base to get fucking beer. NO FUCKING WAY. And every one of those ass holes would be fucking njp'ed til they couldnt see for stealing 2 vehicles that resulted in the loss of one vehicle and the severly wounding of a fellow soldier, let me tell you, theyd never even be allowed to hold a rifle again. They might stay in Iraq, but theyd be shoveling shit and filling every fucking sandbag that could be found in the area the entire time. Morning to night.

Im not in the Army, Im a Marine, maybe some of that shit flies in the Army, the way they did shit, but I cant see it, all those mother fuckers will be dead in a month.

And why o why after being there for 1 week, 7 fucking days, feel great revelations and personal change within themselves. And that bitch fucking that guy whille the hubby calls, HES BEEN GONE A WEEK BITCH, Im sure theyll write some craptastic, "you were gone and I was so alone" and the guy will play into it. Let me tell you guy, from a man who's wife cheated on him, it takes longer than a week. But Im sure this aweful show will blame the affair on him being in Iraq, when in truth she was never faithful if all it took was a week for her to start fucking someone else.

Im tired, I could rant some more on how fucking terrible this shit was, but I wont for now.

I hate reality television, but if they were to do a reality show about the troops overseas, I'd probably watch it.

Do you not grasp the difference between a crappy "Reality" show and a show that's trying to present something in a realistic manner?

That is two completely different things there.

From the other thread:

I didn't much like it.

The characters were nothing but walking talking "cliche's" you find in every damn "war" movie.

The tolkein "black guy who hates white peole and wants the brotha's to stick together, the screaming sgt, the quite passive white boy, etc.

The dialogue imo was just horrid.
I simply do not hear anyone my age group talk the way they talk.

Then the overall story/way the follow it. They could lead up to things a lot better and follow the characters better, but it seemed like all they wanted was to jump them straight into action and have no character development so to speak.

The enemy:
"oh hey look, ze american's are shooting as us behind cover, what do we do? duhh hhhhh I know, lets walk down this hill out in the open and get our asses shot to death."

I might watch the next episode or two, but if that's how it's going to be I won't be watching the entire series.

I guess I was expecting something more like band of brothers but with modern characters and the modern war.

i refuse to even watch that show
just the idea of it pisses me off

problem with shows like this is that they are intentionally made to look like non-fiction so that half the people who watch them think "oh, i know they are actors, but thats really what its like over there."

its like half the people i talk to that read the "DaVinci Code" think it was real

its a disservice to america, and a slap in the face to the men and women putting their lives on the line for us over there - that some likeness of their sacrifices and struggles are being soap-operaized for the entertainment and intentional miseducation of half of the country they are out there for

crap

Islamist Terrorists with Rocket Launchers in Oklahoma
By Michelle Malkin
Jul 27, 2005, 15:36

This week, New Jersey Transit officials joined the New York Police Department in performing hapless random searches of Granny's knitting bag and Junior's Thomas the Tank backpack to prevent the next al Qaeda attack.

But not everyone is fighting the War on Terror blind. Some U.S. military personnel have been given a very clear and un-p.c. mission:

Be on the lookout for Middle Easterners carrying rocket launchers.

Yup, that's right. Many readers have e-mailed me about a recent report floating on the Internet that reveals military concerns about a suspicious trio of Middle Eastern men who apparently pointed a rocket launcher at low-flying aircraft near Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma earlier this month. It's authentic. Battle Staff Directive No. 41, categorized as "For Official Use Only," was issued at Hill Air Force Base in Utah last week to raise a red flag about the incident at Tinker AFB:

"On 14 Jul 05, three individuals were observed outside of the perimeter of Tinker AFB, OK. They were looking through binoculars, taking pictures and one appeared to be holding a large weapon at chest level. The weapon appeared to be aimed towards a low flying aircraft. The three individuals were described as being of Middle Eastern descent and left the area when approached. The weapon was later identified as a rocket launcher (MANPAD) and the low flying aircraft to be a B-1 Bomber. FBI in Oklahoma City and AFOSI [Air Force Office of Special Investigations] determined the threat to be credible."

Someone leaked the directive to a website called Soldiers For The Truth (sftt.org), and it was picked up by another site, the Northeast Intelligence Network (homelandsecurityus.com). Tinker AFB staff and FBI officials remain tight-lipped about the incident. But Capt. Sean Carter, a public affairs officer at Hill AFB, verified the directive for me.

In a phone interview, Capt. Carter told me the memo was issued to let base personnel know that "there's a threat out there somewhere" and to inform them of what to look for to guard against possible terrorist activity. Hill AFB participates in the "Eagle Eyes" program, an anti-terrorism initiative launched by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations that "enlists the eyes and ears of Air Force members and citizens in the war on terror."

The threat of an al Qaeda attack using shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles has been of increasing concern to homeland security officials. Last year, the FBI arrested two imams in Albany, N.Y., in connection with a sting operation involving laundered funds that the defendants were led to believe were proceeds from the sale of a missile launcher to be used in a New York City terrorist . Federal prosecutors noted during the trial of convicted al Qaeda bomb ter Wadih El-Hage that his role entailed "conveying military orders from Bin Laden including . . . seeking weapons including Stinger missiles for al Qaeda members." In 2002, al Qaeda terrorists used two Russian-made Strela missiles to try and bring down an Israeli-chartered airliner departing from Mombasa, Kenya.

That effort failed, but the terrorists will no doubt try, try again. Hundreds of Stinger missiles have gone missing since the first Persian Gulf War, according to the General Accounting Office. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., noted last year that "there are an estimated 300,000 to one million shoulder-fired missiles in the world today -- thousands are thought to be in the hands of terrorist and other non-state entities." Thomas B. Hunter of Jane's Intelligence Review reported: "Al-Qaeda reportedly possesses a number of MANPADs, including SA-7s and Stingers. . . . It is logical to assume that Al-Qaeda is in possession of additional MANPADs. If this is true, then Al-Qaeda represents the most significant threat to international civil aviation."

Washington has been squabbling over whether and how much money to spend on retrofitting all 6,000 planes in the American commercial fleet with electronic countermeasures to combat the threat. In the meantime, common-sense vigilance is the best defense.

Thankfully, military watchdogs on guard against Islamist terrorists with rocket launchers know better than to stop Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan look-a-likes with Louis Vuitton pet carriers strapped around their shoulders.
