$150 and 1 month later its here.

Florida Concealed carry license just came in the mail today. Mailed it off December 20th and got it back today. So excited to get it, was a bit of a PITA but worth it.

Havent gotten one yet. I want a XD 45 compact but unfortunately guns are a little on the low side of priorities right now.

Congrats. It's a big decision to your safety into your own hands, and a wise one.

I've got a year before I can apply, but that just means I have plenty of time to save for my carry.

I'm kind of pissed. I got my WA concealed carry but now I'm moving to New Mexico in a few months. And my moving expense are going to eat up all my cash so I won't even get a chance to buy a gun and skip the waiting period. At least it was only $55.

Anyone know how long a WA CCL is good for? And if it's still valid once I move?

Washington does NOT have reciprocity with NM. You can either get a NM permit when you move there, or in the mean time you can get a Utah non-resident permit which will be valid in NM, probably cheaper too. WA and OR have some bad reciprocity for whatever reason.

Yeah I knew there wasn't reciprocity. I was woondering if my WA one would still be good in say 2 years if I moved back, or if I traveled to some state that WA had reciprocity with.

Odds are it won't be an issue but I'm curious.

Well it's your permit, doesn't it say when it expires? Most states are 5 years.

Since WA doesn't offer out of state permits, i think once you establish residency in another state that becomes invalid. I'm not up with WA laws mind you.

Oklahoma isn;t that bad and it carries to a lot of states. Also if your Military and M9 qualified you don;t have to take the dumb ass class, just submit paperwork....

Im an Idaho resident..I went to the Asotin County courthouse, south of Clarkston WA, and applied for a CWP, no issues..just waiting for phone call to come pick it up when it gets in.
I have an Idaho CWP as well.
