I hobbled it around the block very slowly, expecting the springs to settle.. . Still good to go, no clunks or creaks or scrapes. Shakedown time... half-disabled the traction control... Made it to the freeway...Drove like a bit of an asshole, tried out the "sport" button... Took my exit, gave it the beans .. AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I got pulled over.

I groveled, I begged, I pleaded, I was 100% up front and honest, I promised he'd never see me drive that way again... and he showed mercy and let me go.

Shocks are Konis of some sort... and... Rear wheels have spacers... I didn't measure but... Probably 1cm? Lame.

$260 for windshield, doesn't make a difference in terms of whether or not the car is drivable
$60 for oil change, maintenance, doesn't count
$60 for mexican spring spacers
a set of centercaps for these wheels is $40, purely cosmetic
$0.00 for antenna, my replacement came from the Cockster, and again totally cosmetic
???.?? for a new hood... cosmetic problem, not a priority, friend wants to wrap it with black brushed aluminum vinyl, I'm not that enthused about it

How the heck do they get the wrong windshield? Was it from a regular E46 sedan or something?

Not sure, prob some minor variation between body styles or year

Guy thought the rain sensor bracket might have been pried off of the orig windshield then glued to my EVOM windshield, pointed out some nasty glue that didn't look right. The cover for the rain sensor didn't fit or snap together properly.

New windshield had the bracket pre installed, and the cover fits snugly.
