I think I would get a grille guard too for style and protection.

Ford Flex? it's pretty much designed to transport 7 in comfort while looking like not-a-minivan...

Shouldn't they call that a rav 6?

The Journey just jumped out at me but ya I am WAY open now.

Flex looks interesting and you can get it with the Eco-boost V6 which seems to do the same mileage roughly as the regular V6.
My Mom-in-law has an 2010 Escape and while ok, I personally think it is dated as hell so no on that. Hell I almost bought an 2008 Escape Hybrid about 2 months back, didn't like it one bit.

Don't like the barn door on a Rav4 and I test drove the V6 model, while quick it seemed really tight on the inside.

We were thinking ahead as in why take 2 cars when we can fit the whole lot in one for family vacations plus if a 5 seater gets 23MPG and a 7 gets 21MPG well...

I would love a Jeep GC but the one I'd want(for mild off-roading) might be out of our range unless we go used.

The only Subaru we'd like would be the Outback with the 3.6l but I am hoping they make a better tranny than the 5 speed out now.

The only other one if I had to do 5 would be a CX-5 or the equivalent Escape.

FUCK THE CRV.

Get a Sienna or Odyssey with AWD and call it a day. You wont get the same practicality, utility and space out of an SUV that you will with a minivan.

+1 for the sienna. Toyota will most likely have better resale and reliability than dodge offerings at present time. Or if you're good with bartering, a toyota venza, perhaps? I'm not sure what the lexus RX's invoice price is either but maybe its worth having a look?

But for 30k there are alot of great CPO's out there. You sure about the new thing?

[edit] highlander has an msrp of 28k, venza has 27k they're both in your budget?

No for the minivan.

Looking at the Highlander but I don't know seems like you pay more for the name than anything else. The Venza not so much. New is just in relation to some cars because their older shit sucked, CPO is not a problem.

No I didn't yet lol...I am eyeing up the new GC...they are fing nice. I especially would like to not have an AWD/4WD system that blows cock.

Based on the auto sites saying some stuff may change for the better with Dodge & Jeep in a year we may wait now unless something else comes along.
