Agreed, but not what you were thinking.... let's get that weight behind the strut towers.

There are far better 4 cylinders in the Nissan family besides the SR. Aside from the retarded space that is consumed by the VG, it's a pretty neat little motor from the era...

And what may they be? The CA, FJ or even the KA? I would probably got for a Turbo KA if I lived in the US and needed a built Nissan 4 banger. I dont think much people could afford the FJ and it's parts and the CA is at a displacement disadvantage and parts are once more scarce.
SR20VE and SR20VET(RWD conversion kits available) is by part the best modern Nissan 4 banger for what we want to accomplish with no rocker arms to come out of place like the older SR's.

The challenge of the VE/VET is very similar to that of the FJ and CA. Parts cost/availability is high. The SR is a decent motor and can make power, but it isn't the most elegant option. I wouldn't turn one down for a 240sx or other small NIssan if it fit, but putting one in a 300ZX seems rather silly.

I would not argue that. I think the VG is the perfect motor for the Z32...I would not be mad if someone put a TT VQ in it though.

I bet if my grandmother had balls, she'd be my grandfather.

With the amount of time and money invested at that point, I could be miles ahead with the VG.

Enh, there's limits to where you can get with the VG, especially on pump gas...
