legal question.

So I left my job back in October of last year for another company and when I left they brought up this document I signed in regards to training reimbursement. I just kind of ignored and kept stalling and now it's gotten to the point with them threatening a lawsuit over the matter.

I know you guys aren't legal professionals but I am looking for some advice on this thing. The image below is the document word for word with all personally identifying information removed.




Below are a few specifics to answer the first line of questions.
The total amount they asked me to pay back is $2400
The training I attended occured after this agreement was signed.
The training I attended was not something I volunteered for. It was required that I attended it
I signed the above agreement under the assumption that if I did not sign it I was going to be fired/let go.

Let me know what you guys think. And if I have a chance of winning this in court

were you employed by this company for less than a year? if so, youre probably screwed. you signed a document agreeing to pay back the training expenses if you were employed for less than a year. talk to a lawyer immediately. does not count.
