No, if you spray it black, it will still look like a pile of shit (or at least, a fat, spray painted brick of shit where the dashboard should be).

Protip: you're supposed to use bondo as a skim coat (i.e. as thin as possible), otherwise it'll end up cracked and shitty looking like on hamzam's dash.

Fiberglass would have probably been a better solution.

Also, not attaching a rectangular box to a curved surface would have been a better solution.

i agree 100% i should have used fiberglass; this was a quick project i did way back in spring. the bondo cracked over the summer from heat and vibration.

fiberglass is the next step, but i am also bracing it all with metal brackets for more strength.

my money goes into the car in my sig.

please criticize:

constructive criticism i can appreciate. spew useless shit-talk and/or trolling... then i might add my two cents. and that isn't going to anyone specifically. i show respect where it's due.

AutoMay used to be an awesome place back in the day.

Like 6 years ago, AutoMay helped me decide my car. Not by shit talking, but by being critical.

Even though, IMO, the 300zx looks better than a Supra, the VG30 isn't as easy to work on (in the car) compared to my motor. that was my biggest deciding factor.

oh, and, concerning the 3, i was just showing a setup, jeez.

if this is how any thread goes here these days, maybe i'm better off lurking than adding content or trying to make this a good source of knowledge.

you tell me!

If you had a car that didn't require you to swap head gaskets every 3 days, you might not *need* the supposed superior serviceability of that engine bay.

Fucking kids, I swear.

well, had you done all your research, properly torquing the headbolts (beyond factory specifications) resolves that problem.

nice try, wannabe

What does that have to do with the shit job you did on the inside of your mazda, or Lurker's question about speakers?

It's also comforting to note that, despite how superior your engine bay is, the engine still isn't in it.
