If the physics were different, or the cars were drastically different, or there was weather, or anything, then it'd be far more interesting.

But its identical to Forza 2. Even down to car optimization settings, and swapping out your rims to get the last couple points to max out your car for its class.

Forza 2 was fun, and by proxy Forza 3 is fun, but I wouldn't pay for it, as Forza 2 is basically free at this point.

edit: I feel like Forza 3 is a moneygrab. GT5 will be the direct competitor, but on a new engine for a new platform, not some rehash.

I think the last thing I bought from Sony was a discman in the 90s. I'm not a fanboy.

These games are designed for gamepads. The tiny tiny minority will buy a wheel.

the point of the wheel is not to be able to drive the fastest.

I'm faster with a wheel in Gran Turismo, but faster with a controller in Forza...

I was gonna get it but found out there was no 335i...

Then I was like nah, probably wouldn't play it anyway. I think I played Forza 2 for 2 hours before I got bored. These racing games are for kids that are not old enough to drive yet.

The game is not designed for a wheel. Yeah its certainly more fun but its a little demoralizing--for me anyway--when you can do better with much less effort. I guess its my inner efficiency/lazy warning going off.

I played GRID on PC with a G25, saw my little USB 360 controller receiver sitting on the desk, found a gamepad, and started raping all my old times /facepalm. I think its how the game "physics" handles input. The game is designed to go from 0-100% throttle/brake/left/right in an instant, when on a wheel that is physically impossible. There is just something "lost in translation" when playing a "console" port with a wheel.

Try it the other way around, though, gamepad with GTR:Evolution

Just got to lap the nurburgerking ring and the japanese togue track in a zonda and evo respectively.

SO SICK. Now that I have gotten to drive my favorite track with my favorite car I can say this game ROCKS. Love the way the physics have been changed up. Adding AI cars on the ring and weaving in and out of them with a buddy on split screen is great.

From the previews it looks like they brought back the wicked point-to-point tracks, any truth in this?

there is a really long track in the mountains in japan, like 14m or something. you can choose to race the entire course or different sections. same with the nurburgring.

Yes, Fujimi Kaido is back. I cannot WAIT to run it.

Anyone else trying to grab at midnight tonight? I'm thinking about an all-nighter, although work will be hell tomorrow.

Fujimi Kaido is everything you ever wanted in a track.

Run the full circuit reverse in a bone stock Acura NSX. Battled my buddy who was driving a supra...jesus that car is perfect. Seriously, try this, so balanced on the uphill.
