Don't take it to PM---just go away.

hey, assfuck, i didn't say he was a failure.

i stated that it's a waste of time going for your degree if you can't even hold a b-. a gentleman's C doesn't really fly these days.

and you don't need to go to college to live beyond your means.

Finance and all the fields and professions it implies are the reason why we you don't have to toil in medieval fiefdoms and drinking your own urine. Everything you own and will ever own, and everything you are and will ever aspire to be is because of business and finance. If you don't need it, go live by yourself in the jungle.

This would be true if there weren't a lot of jobs that strongly prefer a college degree when hiring but make nearly zero use of any collegiate knowledge in on the job activities.

not entirely true. There are a lot of "Green" MBAs out there now and others who go into finance with a bit of an intention of helping others later.

and to the OP- let it sink in that for the most part, you are now an independent adult. Either get a loan to finish up school, or take on a job to pay the rest of the year off, or both.

Now that we got that straight, don't bother doing anything at all. In fact, go into the woods and wear a twig and leaf for clothes, because everything you own, use, or look at in modern life is because finance or business.

Go listen to some My Chemical Romance.

GWVG, you seem like a guy who loves the social dynamic. This may sound wierd, but ne thing I would suggest is going for an account executive job somewhere cool like a web design company, or fashion..whatever you are into.

I have no idea what you want to do with your degree, but if you are into going out and meeting people and protray a strong confidence, being an accoutn exec is one of the most enjoyable jobs you could ever have. It is literally the game except you get paid waaaaayyy too much money and don't have to work half as much..plus you are usually first in line for a VP promotion if you perform.

Just an idea if you are struggling with getting in your specific field.

Let me get this straight, it is a waste of time in your words to go to college if you can't hold a B-. So he should quit (failure) because a C doesn't fly these days? Am i missing something? He can still get a degree even with achieving C grades. I'll agree that it probably isn't looked upon highly if you include it on your resume but still.....it is a degree.

You should be grateful they paid as much as they did. My dad covered my first year (minus about six grand), and I've been picking up the tab since then for almost all of my expenses.

They haven't been doing you any favors, supporting you for so long, at least not in my opinion. School's worth a little more when it comes out of your own pocket.

Argue that the cost of the therapy you'll need will greatly outweigh the cost of them supporting you in school and not making you feel like a failure because one place out of thousands didn't accept you.

It's a cost benefit analysis they're looking for, clearly.

Why is it so difficult to become a doctor

Not to derail the thread, but I got into a top 25 med school with only a 3.5 gpa because I slacked off in an engineering program for 2 years before I decided to get with the program. Now granted I pretty well destroyed the MCAT and picked up a masters degree too, but there are always alternate ways to get what you want. Which is also a good lesson for the OP to take to heart.
