That link in the first post I made is kinda the style I like.....

But really something in between business casual-casual.....I guess....

Something other than t shirts, dickies button up shirts.....and cargo pants lol

Not a huge fan of jeans because I don't fill in the ass too well......but I could get used to them......or even slacks.....

Orvis looks nice......closest is North Carolina (I am in Charleston, SC).

I could always make a trip.....or order....

Piece by piece......maybe 100-200ish a paycheck.....so every 2 weeks.....would like to stock up on some winter pieces to be able to reuse next winter (winter has pretty much stopped here, but gets cold enough for a hoodie or a light jacket sometimes.

I am enjoying the Orvis website........if it would maybe 30-40% off what they are charging I would only use them for clothes.....looks like quality pieces....

Is there a place just like Orvis but cheaper? Still having 2-3x sizes

I'm not sure. But I'll say if you build it slowly, buy it from a nicer place. It will last longer. and sinc eyou're getting smaller, you can have the shit tailored

Speaking of that.....

Another issue (was tempted to make a thread about it too).

But....I really don't know what I am doing at the gym......I just kinda sample everything, and I stay there with a friend for about an hour and a half......

I have a strange feeling that if I don;t drop weight first.....I will actually get bigger (building muscle over the fat that's there).

Any truth to this? I am top heavy with a long torso if that helps......idk.....just no one around me has much experience in clothing style and working out......

if you gain muscle, then yes you will likely get bigger. you do not convert fat into muscle, it doesnt work that way. but often for people who are heavy and just start lifting, they'll lose fat as well (which is harder and harder the more you train)

either way, you can lift in a way to lose muscle and not gain fat. stick to circuit training with compound movements, in the 20-25 rep ranges. you wont get bigger, you'll get smaller

edit: also, exrx.net

Can you explain this more? Or will that link you provided show what kind of moves I need to do?

I am a noob when it comes to anything physical :P But being a butcher really built endurance for me.....so lifting is easy.....just....I have fat....

compound exercises are those requiring multiple muscle groups, typically the larger ones. it takes more energy to activate larger muscles than smaller ones. so a squad takes more energy than a biceps curl. pick 5 exercises a day. stuff like squats, shoulder press, bench press, deadlift, pullups, etc. do one set each exercise, 20-25 reps (fail somewhere between those numbers). wait 30 seconds, move onto the next exercise. when you completed all 5, thats a circuit. wait 3 minutes. do it all again. do that 5-6 times, that's your workout

then add in HIIT cardio (google it)
