OH NOES! WHAT HAZ I DONE?!

Long story short - traded in my speed3 for the GTI, got a hell of a rate, much lower payments, better gas mileage, infinitely better interior, and the dealer threw in a free APR tune to be installed at 1K miles (and fully covered by wty, does not void vehicle warranty - weee).

Anywho - do I miss the Speed? Not so much really... the GTI has proven to be a much more 'complete' package car; sure it doesn't currently have as much power but then again, I am not looking to race anyone

Discuss.

you done bought a krautmobile

Also, lols on justifying your purchase on getting lower payments, did bother to check if you got finance-fucked up your ass?

edit: I've never seen the inside of this vintage Golf, but the older ones left me with a general sense of getting your money's worth

Um, I went form having a 4.19% APR to 2.49% APR; same loan terms but lowah payments .

In any event - 'tis a great car all together. Smells like crayons though.

OWK - nope, not leasing; loan.

Nice.

These are expensive in the UK though (25k, or Focus RS money).

The APR tune actually increases the gas mileage; the DP though... I dunno we'll see. One of the interesting things about this dealer is that they are APR certified - anything they do - covered by wty.

it used to be built into the model number like a bmw 318 had a 1.8l engine, etc.
they don't stay true to that system anymore though.
all the 1.8t vws and audis here say 1.8t on them. the early 2.0t models did as well

Yeah good point, Audi's still have it around here for the most part.

BMW's system is way off now, 118d, 123d etc.
