yeah, Hayes is pretty much the shit. I was with him for quite a while. and yes, I loved LAVs. Most badass vehicle IMHO.

In reference to the Generation: Kill side of things. That battle they talk about where the LAV,s made it north of Nasiriyah (sp? I always fuck up that one) and the rest of division took another day to catch up was called the battle of the Coil in LAR lore. I know a few guys that were there for that and they said it was the most intense thing they saw during the invasion. And some of the older salts said it was worse than Somalia. So that part was legit anyway.

Yeah agree. But I am continually surprised by it.

OH MY GOD!!! I LOVE SUCKING COCK!!!!!

Everyone wants to bitch about logistics, but no one wants to do it. What this means is that the only people doing it are the lazy/dumb/or medically broken and not enough of even them. Not sure what it is like for everyone else, but we have a nuts discharge rate from logies, either out out or trade transfer as soon as they can.

What this leaves us with is mostly old, crusty lazy/dumb/broken people. The media bitch and whinge all the time about military logistics... and all that really is achieved is the reputation gets worse and scares off everyone except the lazy/dumb/broken. Shit is not going to get to who needs it when they need it in a decent fashion if there is no competent fucker in the supply chain.

Ultimately, this means that sometimes the people who really need shit do not get it. Join the military and make a difference!

I really think what Poke said about us being pit bulls is true. Beat us and then let us go fuck some shit up cause we're going to be so mean form the BS we have to put up with and so brain washed to think that killing people is the pinnacle of life. If the people who are supposed to care for us are so mean to us, imagine how bad we should treat those of us who mean to do us harm. And Marines generally wouldnt balk at the chance to make those who mistreat us proud of us and happy with our actions so when they say go kill shit we do it in fucking spades to get a pat on the back
That last part is just my opinion, or my take on it, but if you ever met a Marine, you would know they didnt like the Marine Corps, but that Marine would never say they regretted joining.
Also my experience as a Marine is as a combat MOS having Marine. Going near places like Al Asad and seeing air wing Marines there...they're pretty different

This.
