I've posted this pic before, but it remains mostly unchanged. Currently rocking steelies since the rubber only lasts ~15k and being unemployed makes it difficult to replace

Is that an HID kit?

Just dropped it off at a friends earlier to have the entire clutch assembly replaced along with the rear main seal and a few other seals around the transmission. Getting the flywheel surfaced as well. It's a very slow work in progress.

Herp derp, guess the flywheel has heat cracks, going to need a new one. Add that to new bearings in the transmission and some other pieces that came up last minute and the parts list and labor just jumped 700$ over what the initial estimate was.

So with the entire clutch assembly being replaced, new flywheel, new rear main seal and a bunch of other seals, some pieces on the transmission being replaced (input bearing and pivot port? My phone was breaking up as he was talking to me) the total plus labor comes out to 1060$. Not bad considering the estimate for just the clutch was 1700$ at a local shop.

Always loved your G8.

I've been considering one as a second car in maybe 6 months, hopefully I can find a used 2009 GT with decent mileage. What are your thoughts on it so far?

Also did it have nav from the factory, or were you the one on Automay who did that nice custom job with a garmin in the dash?

Thanks man. I absolutely LOVE the G8. It's been flawless so far in the 30k I've put on it. No Nav option, so yeah, I slapped a Garmin in it and bought the Holden Kit from Australia to get it mounted ina factory location.

This photo was taken by a friend who just got his new DSLR (5 years ago?) so he fucked up the white balance a bit lol. The correction in photoshop made the headlights and signs in the background appear blue. I do plan a proper conversion to HID using silvia lights and HID lenses from a Hyundai.
