That's not my leg.

a Korean war game is desperately needed. vietnam is too awkward to be worth re-making in a full fledged single player game. the korean war game would be awesome because of the back and forth nature.

imagine this scenario: you are part of a coalition of UN forces stationed near the Yalu river (the border between N. Korea and China). you have just driven back the N Korea army like a bunch of step children upon the brilliant leadership of Douglas Macarthur, but now you are at a standstill, waiting for your next move. are we going to be entering China to finish the job? all of a sudden 400,000 chinese regular soldiers come pouring in endless waves across the Yalu, driving you and your men to a full sprint retreat.

now THAT would be a fun game. the fighting leading up to the (invasion of inchon) and the subsequent counter strike after being driven nearly off the Korean peninsula by the Chinese counter attack would be awesome.

a WW1 game could be fun as well, but they would have to pick out the most compelling battles. something like Verdun would be hard to replicate since it was a 8 month long battle with over 800,000 casualties (300,000 + dead). but something like Rommel's missions in the Caporetto campaign against the Italians, where small group infiltration tactics first got their start (they were called jagers, the first "stormtrooper" type soldiers the world had ever seen: small, mobile units that could sneak behind the fortified lines), would be extremely fun and exciting to play.

I've always felt a WW1 game that would include trench warfare should play up the survival horror type aspect of the game due to the horrific nature of the fighting. not quite sure how that would go.

I'm not fine with this being the best first person WAR shooter ever, as long as they stop pumping out the same damn genre/era/idea every time

Bring back WW2 with this level of detail, what about WW1 even, hell, any OTHER war than all this modern day shit.. thats wat i think

Korea is half WW2 and half vietnam. We already have that covered pretty well. I'd like to see an iran/iraq war, britain/faulklands or something else new. People like to kill each other so we have plenty to choose from.

Lameface.

Decent Single Player (USUALLY) = Decent Online Experience

The more people learn from the SP the more they play like it in MP .. but nowadays most kids just jump straight online and I think that's what's ruining online game play, it's not the game and what you can do, it's the way people are playing and what they are doing.

I want to print this and mail it to EA/Activision (with a nice helping of ANTHRAX)

Some UK webcast gaming show got cozy with some of the people at DICE. Some new bits of video, but nothing huge. I'm going nuts waiting for each new, little bit of content to be revealed so I played this video over a few times. Someone said that youtube links are broken or something so if you can't see this, say so.

BORKED

Also, EA appears to be segregating the content by region already with the announcement of the "Physical Warfare Pack" for a couple of UK retailers. 4 extras like AP flechette 12Ga ammo, DAO-12, Chinese LMG, etc. They haven't announced what other regions will get, but one of the devs was twatting about each pack being exclusive to the region you buy it in so no unlocking or buying the content later somehow. This will not go over well unless they're just trying to drum up publicity by stirring up the fans, which doesn't make any sense in actuality.

Weird. It shows up for me in my post just fine. I guess I will go read that thread about how to fix it.

BF3 is not using the Unreal Engine. It's using Frostbite 2.

edit: damn, this game just might bring my PC to it's knees. Might have to look into getting another GTX 570 and doing SLI
