It's when the beer snobs and hipster fags start dishonestly indulging in fake outrage over the idea of consuming ANY beer that could ever be purchased in a convenience store that they get genuinely annoying. Used to have a coworker like that. He never missed an opportunity to make snide comments about whatever everyone else was drinking and then would go on to tell us about some wonderful new boutique or craft beer he'd just discovered at a bar none of us had heard of or cared about.

He claimed he'd rather not drink a beer at all if he couldn't have something "good".

Fast forward a few months to a friend's sunday backyard BBQ and who do you suppose was pounding Coors Lights with his hotdogs and salsa when there wasn't a microbrew in sight? Yep.

ya that is pretty gay. I'm pretty beer snobbish. I know a decent amount and could talk lots about it, and obviously love all types of good beers.

But right now i have 2 cases of presidents choice honey red in the house, and it's the only beer i have. I just bought a house and good beer is for special occasions now.

I lost the taste for cheap rice beer a few years out of college..I'm one of those who would rather drink something else if the beer choices are Bud light, Coors, one of those godawful flavored varieties, etc..

I don't really consider myself a beer snob though since I don't give a damn what other people like to drink.....I get a lot more shit for refusing to drink piss water than the other way around.

apparently the latest craze is ten fiddy stout comes in a can, anyone tried it yet?

I saw it at whole foods but couldn't justify the price especially since I'm more of a porter guy when going with that type of beer.

I get what you're saying. What do you drink as a session beer? The reason I ask is because most "good" beers are usually way too heavy or filling to have more than a very few at a time.

To some, personally I can drink IPAs, belgian tripels/quads and stouts all night and usually do. I would say i'm a beer enthusiast as I will try to convince people to drink good craft beer but if they are set in their ways of Bud/Coors/Miller I won't hate them for it, it's just their choice.

That's what the higher ABV% is for. I rarely ever drink more than 3-4 at a time these days so it really doesn't matter. /getting old

edit- some craft beers really aren't heavy at all, and surprisingly comparable in calories to many domestic macro-brews. Some Pale ales, Belgians and IPA's for example..
