You've got lines to the carbon canister, you've got a line to a boost sensor, you've got a line to a wastegate, you've got a line to the PCV. Give them a onceover with brake cleaner on a cold start and see if that's what's fucking you up.

I think changing my baseline idle back to stock spec is going to take care of it

It will not.

You will likely need to adjust the idle screw once you fix whatever the actual problem is, but that alone will not fix the problem you have.

Cracked boosters happen too fwiw, could be a bad FPR or vacuum leak, could be many things. Is your TPS okay?

Put a DVM on the TPS and see if it reads smoothly through the whole range, and if it reads the correct value at closed (some are adjustable)

Try this:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Assuming hes given a clean bill of health to the new motor prior to swap..

Tell mr2 specialist to fix it on his dime. If he has that level of involvement in the car and its still behaving all fucky thats on him

So do I, plus a wife and two kids, and I manage to not have blown up POSs all over my driveway.

Next time ask my permission to post in my threads

As usual you're just here to start beef and shit this thread up with nonsense.

If you're going to auto-reject anything I say and talk trash or get upset if I disagree or try other fixes first you're doing it wrong

I always wondered that too. I mean, why not use the more reliable base instead of the one that used to catch fire because the fuel line was mounted too close to the catalytic converter?

I wonder if it was because GM offered the fiero bodies in bare form [body in white] and that was cheaper than a whole car and you didn't have to disassemble anything.
