As usual you're just here to start beef and shit this thread up with nonsense.

If you're going to auto-reject anything I say and talk trash or get upset if I disagree or try other fixes first you're doing it wrong

You can slarve my dode if you think I'm asking for permission.

Fix your shit. It's embarrassing for the entire forum that this is the most active thread in here.

We don't know. Neither do you.

You need to do some diagnostics to determine what that is before you just start replacing stuff.

Did you ever do a compression test?
What about inspecting the vacuum hoses yourself? (remember that some may be under the intake manifold)
Did you hunt for vacuum leaks with an unlit propane torch?

If you suspect the IACV, have you done the shop manual-prescribed test for it? (It's not that hard - all you need is a multimeter, IIRC)

Put a DVM on the TPS and see if it reads smoothly through the whole range, and if it reads the correct value at closed (some are adjustable)

Try this:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

IIRC, the TPS on this engine is adjustable, but is also pretty simple. It's more like a switch than a sensor. It has four or five positions for which there is an expected resistance between its various pins. It's not like a rheostat where the resistance is continuously variable.

This might be worth checking too, Ghetto. Get you a copy of the TPS test procedure and check it. It's really not that hard, but it does help to have an extra hand or two.

Two reasons:

* Power is what sells cars to Americans, and it had less power on paper than the MR2 Turbo. Enthusiasts like to deride it as being a girl's car, without ever even sitting in one.
* It doesn't have a trunk. At all. And it was priced WAY too high for the target market to afford.

In reality, it's fucking awesome. The stock engine is adequate, but kinda meh, and the interior is decidedly low rent, but holy hell is it a shitload of fun to drive anyway. Like a Miata, but better. I really wish I hadn't traded mine in.

Was given the day off today

Here's a ___WARM___ test. Motor had cooled off for about two hours after my trip to buy this overpriced chinese shit tester

Well within spec. I'm not even sure I'll bother doing a cold test Saturday.

Good job. I probably wouldn't bother with the cold test, either.

Now you can cross "catastrophic mechanical failure" off your list of possible culprits.

Edit: Try to get a clear photo of the engine bay, and post that. Those blue vacuum hoses should be super easy to see.
