You know you guys are talking about STORAGE...right? Think of it like this: If you just have a small storage shed, you'll only accumulate a small amount of mostly useless shit that you forget that you have after a while..

Get a large storage shed and you'll have fuckloads upon fucktons of useless shit that will eventually get to the point where a trashy cable channel will come to your house for a special "porn hoarder" reality show..

also, i sometimes do an iso backup to a bunch of seagate USB3.0 2.5'' 2TB drives that i have (the seagate usb3.0 2tb portables that have that samsung spinpoint 2tb laptop drive or whatever, that new shit.)

anyway, i use ssds for the majority of my non-backup purposes. i have like 3x 1TB SSD drives (samsung and crucial), ill prob get another terabyte of SSD in the future.
my steam games and shit practically take up one whole terabyte of SSD data,

storage rules, BIN LSADEN and DODGE drool.

i did a lot of research about those NAS especially the synology

what the fuck, i heard its still laggy as fuck cuz its over the fucking NAS. i wouldnt waste my time with an NAS, to be honest. just buy a fucking 2014 router and pop in a usb3.0 drive to it. that'll be just as fast as any stupid ass synology NAS storage.

the only thing, if you insist on using some ROKU or WDFagTV shit, the synology might help cuz of propritary media server whatever its called... that HDPC thing

A: you are wrong

B: what happens when your single disk setup fails and you lose all your data?

C: why am I even talking to a troll?

those thunderbolt raid arrays work slightly better
i wish intel pushed the thunderbolt 2 interface harder
it's kind of glitchy (i.e. no hutplugging in windows), but it works nicely
they need to improve the damn atapi speeds on thudnerbolt to get to sata-III standards.
but it has room for improvement from intel.

which one of these pieces of technology that you are critiquing have you ever even seen in real life in person before?

i borrowed a peegasus thudnerbolt raid array from a friend in the past
i have a bunch of thunderbolt interfaces

ive used my friends synology NAS in the past; it's just as laggy over the network as my seagate/wd pseudo-nas type drives that are practically 5 years old.
i can see how some people might like nas in raid though
