Options For Backing Up Outlook When Using Office 365
Hello all.
I currently have an email account through Microsoft's Office 365. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to archive/backup the email account? I'd like to be able to download a copy of all my emails. I use Outlook to access the account (ie. I don't solely use the webmail), but any of the solutions I've tried to back up the .OST seem poor in their implementation (ie. backup the local files). I could do a manual export, but I was hoping for something a bit more automated. Any input greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Be less lazy and do the manual export. How often do you need it?

Ideally, I'd like a differential back-up done daily. Doing the manual effort is a bit cumbersome, plus wouldn't be differential.\ It's been 8 years, but sure. Why though? Without a further explanation it seems just like a Linux exercise. Not as I understand it. It's an Exchange Server based account. One can't simply copy the .OST either unless you exit out of Outlook. Ie. you can't copy it when it's in use. I have Outlook open all the time for email notification. Plus, if I have to manually shut down Outlook to backup the OST it defeats the purpose of an automatic backup. Ideally, I'd like something locally to backup the OST while it's opened or something to pull the email's off Microsoft's Exchange Servers. Thanks for the input. Cheers.

I was testing out this product recently to back up my email. It works with most major online services like O365 and G Apps.
http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstor...archiving.aspx I only spent a few minutes with it but it doesn't seem to be any better than say using Thunderbird (or whatever flavor is being updated currently) and IMAP. Whatever tool I use, I want it to be generic enough I can use another application to access the archive years from now.
