Should I buy this ar-15?

http://gandermountain.shoplocal.com/gandermountain/default.aspx?action=browsepagedetail&storeid=2507050&rapid=5 45364&pagenumber=16&listingid=-2091619371&ref=%2fgandermountain%2fdefault.aspx%3faction%3db rowsepagespread%26storeid%3d2507050%26rapid%3d545364%26pagen umber%3d16%26prvid%3dGanderMT-080512

It seems to be the one I want, for the same price I was going to buy a RRA, but I'd much rather have a bushmaster. Is there anything wrong with this, like features, etc I wouldn't want? Seems like a great deal for a bushmaster. Sale ends June 1st. I went and handled the rifle, seems great. I like the style, chrome lined barrel, a3 upper w/ handle included, entry tactical... etc. I do not like the front hand piece that has room for attachments. If I ever want one, I can always just buy a new handgaurd down the road right?

Please let me know ASAP, I'd need to buy this at 7pm tonight.

Your link isn't working so I'm not sure what Bushmaster you are referring to. In any case the handgaurds can be changed out at anytime with virtually any type of handguard.

I can't tell if this is a serious post or not.

DHermit: Build your own and save. Why would you need it immediately tonight?

I've accepted the fact I have no interest or desire to build my own. I am leaving town tonight and my gander doesn't have this back home.

Whoever posted that link up above, yes that is the correct one

I think it's too expensive. See if Gander could do a store to store transfer or something.

Why is it too expensive? When I go to gun shows, RRA ones that are identical are the same price. When I say that, I mean could I buy the same gun somewhere cheaper?

You can always do better than buying from a standard big box retailer. It's not a ripoff or anything, but don't feel like you have to jump on it or lose out on the best deal ever. Also, IMO (and I'm sure you'll hear varying opinions on this) Bushmaster and RRA are in about the same class as far as AR's go. Given a choice between the two I would go RRA myself because the the fit and finish is better than BM in general (not a fanboy, I own both).

I wouldn't buy either AR. Save a little more and buy a Colt, LMT, Noveske, Sabre Defense, S&W, ADS, and etc...

My local guy shows $795 online for the same thing. I could go in and get it cheaper talking to him.

Not the gun I'd buy, and way high price wise.

If you're willing to spend that much money just get an LMT or Colt

Non-milspec plastic parts?

Will be bringing a 6920 to a carbine class this weekend. 1300 rounds of good ammo in 3 days. Cost++++

Would suggest you also look at Fulton Armory. http://www.fulton-armory.com/

I got one of their FARs and absolutely love it -- though it IS significantly more expensive than other ARs.
