There are actually very few PS3 RPGs.

Only the old 40/60/80G models have BC. The new ones don't have it at all.

The 20 had BC, the 40 never did.

Both are true, but Demon's Souls (if this is your kind of game) makes buying the system worth it. One of the best RPG's (and game) I've played in my entire life,

Wasn't there a 40GB MGS bundle with BC? You're right about the 20 though.

The standard 80 gig system bundled with MGS4 had PS2 BC, but the limited edition gunmetal grey MGS4 40gig did not.

I have both.

Exclusives are not an issue anymore as game makers are now porting to both systems. There are a few ie Halo, Gran Turismo, etc. So, if any particular franchise is a deal breaker, go with which ever system has it.

Build quality, PS3 slim though a fucking kick ass system. Small, quiet, perfect. However, not too much of an issue anymore. I have a Falcon and although it is loud as hell, haven't had any problems... yet. But, you should usually stay away from products where their problems have become a household name (red ring of death).

Online, PSN seems a bit lonely. From what I've seen, hardly anyone talks in the game lobbies compared to Xbox Live but this may be a good thing. You pay to play on Xbox Live where PSN offers it for free. You use to be able to have private chats via Xbox Live while playing games (COD4) but Modern Warfare 2 took this out and I bet every game after will do the same.

Get a PS3 slim

Xbox 360 elite bundle with two free games, 300 bones. Can't beat that.
