Help getting server lists behind firewall/proxy....

Maybe someone has ran into this problem before...
I'm deployed and we have some pretty decent Wifi, nothing is really blocked other than porn. We are behind cisco router, ASA firewall, and bluecoat proxy.

My problem is with stuff like Team Fortress 2, it gets stuck refreshing server list. Ive verified that all my traffic is going through the bluecoat proxy, but alot of scanning and stuff is being dropped at the router and firewall.

So my question is if anyone knows what needs to be allowed to let Team Fortress 2 updates its server list?? Is there a specific master server I can add that it gets all its data from, or does it go out server by server to update?

I'm in our network admin shop so its fine for us to change whatever we need on these devices. Problem is google hasnt given me a good answer on what server or ports its using....

Kuwait.

And no our ping is not bad. Its commercial internet with a direct pipe to New York (last time we checked)

My speed test is decent enough to game on during non-peak times. I know people playing MMOs have no issues because it doesnt do all the port scanning thats involved with updating an FPS server list.

edit: id ask on the steam forums but there appears to be some wait time for forum account activiation

Thanks, no prob

Maybe the steam support forums will have some info to add to our network devices to allow it... even typing in the IP of a server isnt working...
