Whole bunch of stuff is fucky with the car... NA shifter cables are being replaced w proper turbo cables, engine grounds being replaced, new starter, oil change and the car is still running a little strangely... I think money pit status is within reach!

Cars like that have a fixed buy-in price. You either pay it up front for a nice one, or you buy a neglected POS and do all the work yourself - but it adds up to the same amount... or more.

Between fixing up the wiring harness and repairing/streamlining some vac hoses removing the alarm helped I guess, the injectors are no longer clicking even while the key is out, no longer dumping left over fuel into the cylinders while the car is off.

So, what's the compression like in a car that over-fueled? Do you even have rings left?

Barely. The motor might last another month or two (optimistically.)

It all seems hunky dory above about 3,000 RPM anywhere below and it sputters like its about to stall out.
