Welp, more mods to the Caddy (pics)

I swear, this is pretty much it. I'm not going to go overboard.

Decided I wanted to be able to use my Nav while driving, and also watch DVD's. Found a sweet little box from PAC here: http://www.amazon.com/PAC-NU-CTS2-Na.../dp/B003ZYURWO that would bypass all the stupid crap.

To install it involves pulling the entire center section of the car out. While that was being done, it presented the perfect time to replace the retarded analog clock with my Aeroforce gauge so I can monitor my car in real time.

So, off we go..

Gutted the center trim section

Now I need to separate the fascia. Oh hey! Only TWENTY SCREWS have to be taken out

We have separation

Potato cam image showing the gauge securely mounted in the clock bezel

Getting Hot Shots while checkin' my stats in the car.

About 2 hours of work start to finish. Now I can monitor the engine parameters I want to, and also have some entertainment on longer trips. I also found out I can use the rear view camera while driving forward now if I want. Trippy as hell

Getting closer to 220 now that I had the vacuum actuator fixed on the Supercharger. Last avg fuel economy was 14.2.

Aeroforce gauges can read any PID the ECM monitors. It plugs into the OBD2 port. I've had them in the lightning, the G8, and the Benz. Incredible gauges. They can also log and you can set thresholds for any PID value so a warning light will come on when it reaches that threshold.

And the DVD functionality is because I love burning DVD's of music videos and having them in the car.

Hm, nice.

are any of the OBD2 cables they sell sort of... stealthy or maybe "flush" with the factory port? the port on my car is in a highly visible location (just to the left of the passengers left knee)

That looks sick, well done on the clock guage too.

Ghetto what do you want one for? You don't need a boost gauge. The only thing I would want if i was you is oil psi. You can put them - and a boost guage if you ever go that route - where everyone else puts them.

https://www.google.com/search?q=vdo+gauges+e36

I have oil pres, oil temp, and boost. Although the boost is always 0 (its not connected after the SC was removed, I want to add a vacuum guiage there instead)

I have three gauge slots

two of which are currently being filled by a broken clock and a voltmeter, the third is oil temp

I don't want boost but I still wouldn't mind having a multi function gauge like this one, it shows a wide range of engine info
