I started out on a Honda Rebel. Thanks bernie Mac for the pic.

Here are pics of my 2nd bike, Vulcan750.

Both bikes in front of the house.
The GS750L is in a stage of upgrade/modification and wasn't being
ridden further than 4 blocks at the time. Cops.

DOH!! Is that....

Guess who just built their first rack of carbs?

I love that pic.

So what are you saying here?

Take msf, then go to the dmv and show proof of msf completion and take the dmv written.

oh wow, i didn't know it was that easy

when I read this:
Quote:
No licensing benefit
i figured that meant I didn't get any perks, and would have to take the written and physical DMV test

man I can't wait now, i'm very excited!

I just read it (even though it's been up for a year) and I am very glad to read this. I am thinking of getting a bike sometime in my life and reading the info here is well worth it.

Thanks!

Really nice pictures, Detman101.
I'm surprised you're not on a hayabusa. I've only met ONE black rider where i live and surprise, surprise, he's on a busa, hahahhaha.

Since there's picture whoring going on, I'm gonna share a few pictures and show my mug on genmay for the first time
Here're pictures from a trip to Kelowna, BC from Calgary, AB. About 6-700 km each way.
See, I do other things than just posing and being just all squidly.

Hhahaha, massive chicken strips

Kewl pics man. I prefer my 80's standard frames when building.
As much as I would like to ride a "Busa" it's just not what i'm looking for.
Even if I stripped and modded it I'm sure it would get stolen or something.

Nice headless riders!

Cryph

I enjoy seeing my own typing, so here is my (very) short motorcycle story.

I've always wanted a bike, I used to live in New Orleans so with all of our rain (haha) I figured it wasnt all that practical. I moved to Arizona in October of last year, and that rekindled my interest.

I did not plan on buying one for a long while, but a coworker of mine was offloading his old bike... and I wanted a 'beater' so when I dropped it, I wouldnt cry.

I bought a 1983 Kawasaki KZ550 F1 Spectre, 18k on the clock. Runs decently, I planned on just learning on it.. Got my permit, rode around in the parking lot semi-geared up... Then all of a sudden the engine on my car combusts.

So it's pretty much ride bike to work, or don't work.
So for the last week, after only self teaching, and not much of that.. I've been riding the 15 miles to work on my bike... put about 250 miles on it so far, no near accidents, no stalling after a couple of times of learning to keep my calm after doing so at red lights... All in all, I'm pretty damn proud of myself..

I didnt expect to be one of these idiots out on the road with NO experience... but here I am. This is my story, don't be like mee.

I'm in love, though. I'll eventually move on to something bigger and better (see also: newer)
Also, the one other black rider I've seen around here was on a busa too, go figure.

sir nooby

So I got my L's yesterday after 2 previous attempts.

Today dad took me for a ride around the block a few times and then out in to some other closer streets. I stalled it a few times but soon got the hang of it, My bike is a Honda CD250. Good learner bike and the best thing about it is dad brought it for me.
