Money's not tight at all man. I've been waiting on people to finish tasks they said they would. If I blow it up the first day, I'll send you 1000.00 cash to make you feel better. Feel free to quote that.

Make SURE you prime it for oil properly to prevent a dry start. We ran into this problem with my friends 03 Cobra. Since it's coil on plug, you can't use a priming tool.

There's a port on the side of the passenger side head towards the front (assuming it's a close enough head to the 4v Cobra) and you can get a fitting at Lowes in the plumbing section that screws into it. Tie that into a bug sprayer filled with oil and pump it in until you can't pump any more.

We did this during the dead of winter, it took like a half hour, the oil was so cold and thick, but it pushes oil through the heads and all the galleys.

You don't want to risk a dry start on an engine like that. If you want more info, PM me, I might have some pics.

Oh and good job on painting or powder coating the valve covers. We were going to do my friends in Ford racing blue, but we ran out of time and had to get the engine in the car.

And once the engine is in the Cobra.... Getting the valve covers off is a MAJOR pain in the ass. I'm talking, we might as well pull the engine again type pain in the ass.

Aside from that, what are your plans for the Supercharger/exhaust headers/ throttle body/ intake/ etc?

You just don't know me, do you? LOL I share everything good or bad that happens with this truck. Same with my car. I don't mind the flames. I'm just throwing some content in this place when I can. Besides, if it blows up day 1, I'll be selling the whole thing for parts and moving on. The grand would be the least depressing part of that

I'll definitely be priming it with a compressor fed oil fitting. As for the setup. Same 80mm setup as before, but I have a Billet Triple Disc 3500 stall in now that should really wake this bitch up.

She'll be looking like this in no time. Right back where I left her.

Oh yeah, now I remember. I keep confusing you with tex.

So what happened this time? You spent like 3 years getting the thing together and it blew up again?

Edit: If it were me, I'd be swapping in a TR6060 or at least an upgraded T-56 into that thing. If yer gonna do it, might as well go all out.

1st built engine was not built to my specs. Turns out the basatrd left STOCK valve springs in my steup, after I handed him 12-# crowers
Vlave float at high boost = engine lasted 1800 miles. Doh. Warped the cylinders too, so I bought an entire new shortblock.

Why would I want a stick shift in a drag truck? No way. 4L80 going in as soon as I toast the stock tranny...which should be SOON

Old setup did 713/776 rwhp on 93 octane with the 76mm wheel and stock heads. Kept compression the same, but these new heads are going to FLOW, and with the 80mm wheel I have now should put me around 750ish on pump, and 900+ on Race and some real boost. I plan on just rolling around the streets on 17 pounds, which last made 646 to the wheels. I'm expecting a little more this time. We'll see.

Best of luck to you. Make sure you get a good solid tune. If you were in the central east coast area I could recommend a top notch one, but you're in FL right?
