How to force a .msi to install: skip OS check?

I'm running Windows Vista... and the software for my phone (Sony Ericcson) is not compatible with Vista..

When I run the installer (Sony Ericcson PC Suite.msi) it comes up with an error:
Code:
Sony Ericsson PC Suite requires that your
computer is running Windows 2000 Sp3/Sp4
or Windows XP Sp1/Sp2
Is there a way to modify this installer to force it to skip the check and continue installing?

Try running the installer in compatibility mode, right click on the icon and choose compatibility settings.

LOL I GOT IT!

awesome.

Download Orca (Microsoft's MSI Editor)
http://www.brentnorris.net/blog/?p=319

Right click your MSI file, hit "Edit with Orca"

Search for the string of the error message, which will also have a conditional statement:
Code:
(VersionNT=500 And (ServicePackLevel>=3)) Or (VersionNT=501 And (ServicePackLevel>=1))
Well, lets modify this a little bit, and force it a boolean value
Code:
(VersionNT=500 And (ServicePackLevel>=3)) Or (VersionNT=501 And (ServicePackLevel>=1)) Or (1)
