You didn't answer my question.

No he isn't. Obama keeps getting cock blocked at every turn not only by bought-out republicans but coorporatist dems too. In the meantime he has done a lot of good, didn't ask americans to sacrifice freedoms, didn't occupy any countries and doesn't sound like a total moron within 15 seconds of a speech.
Did you notice Obama signing the Patriot Act renewal? Or was that not so bad after all?
Did you notice Obama raiding dispenseries in CA?
Did you notice the attempted expansion of internet kill-switch powers?
Did you notice travelers getting groped and detained?

Obama has spent his entire administration whining. He has been almost completely impotent in national affairs *except* for enhancing federal power.

What was he cock blocked on? Everything else. Extending the bush tax cuts was a compromise. Everything he does is a fucking compromise because the republicans are like disobedient school children and he is like a flustered mother making deals to get them to brush their teeth.

the sad reality however is that the GOP candidates are all insane religious whack jobs pretty much insuring a landslide victory for obama. I don't want any of them in office including obama.

What about Romney?
I'm not saying I agree with all of his policy ideas... but I'd hardly call him a religious whack job.
Cain? I haven't heard the same religious banter from him that I've heard from Bachman/Perry

Cain is just insane without a religious angle.

he's got the fist of big business securely lodged in his ass and using him like a puppet no different than the rest of them. there's nothing that makes him stand out enough to win. he's merely the least threatening of the group.
cain is a complete moron and has zero chance

The only thing he actually 'did' was give the go on the OBL pakistan raid. Other than that, what? Libya?

What else has he initiated?

He's not mentioning religion because he's Mormon and everyone in America and the rest of the universe think Mormons are fucking nuts

its not that he initiated it, but rather granted JSOC the power they have. Back when they were 121, they were in authorization hell for any lethal operations. Pres Obama has given them a lot looser leash. Most recently comes to mind al-Aulaki.

things in afg and iraq against al qaeda didnt need presidential approval, but elsewhere: algeria, iran, malaysia, etc all needed directly presidential approval before operating. They dont need that anymore for the most part.

same here.

Then again, they've either been idiots, shills (read: classic politician) or just flat out crazy for a number of elections now.

it may just be historical perspective as I wasnt remotely close to alive for either of them, but eisenhower was a pretty great president, especially for being a general. He really focused internally on our country and made a lot of good changes.

And JFK, solely because he was willing to admit he messed up (bay of pigs), learn from his mistakes, and do things right in the future (preventing nuclear war in the cuban missile crisis)

Tough question though, and a good one.

I think Jimmy Carter was a really good guy as well, but a weak president.
