Yeah. Newt is not gonna last and the rest of the field (except for huntsman and santorum) have already been the flavor of the month and then been shot down.

I think Huntsman would make a good candidate but he's never gonna get the nom. He just doesn't have what it takes to appeal to repub primary voters.

All the gold ever mined in the entire history of the world is worth less than 10 Trillion at current values IIRC.

The gold standard just wouldn't work today.

We will always exchange something for goods and services whether it's money or other goods and services. Money is just easier to exchange than chickens or labor.

Here's her facebook
http://da-dk.facebook.com/hellethorningschmidt

You'd love Johanne though, such a rebel, and still a dirty hippie. Grew up in a co-op and wondered at an early age why some people were worse of than her, and saw it wrong.

We're all born naked and equal, and my parents paycheck should not decide how easy/hard my life is gonna be - We should all tip into the things we all go through (education, health, nursing homes) - If you work harder than me, of course your paycheck should be bigger, - Most of all, i think we need to help and care for each other - We need to suceed, as a planet ffs.

Well, going by history, if you introduced a new form of currency and set a rate of exchange, there's no reason you couldn't. It would just scare a lot of people.

It's like in Germany when they were in deep shit and replaced the Reichsmark with the Deutschmark at a rate of 10 to 1. Combined with removing government control on wages and prices, it saved their economy.

Yes it would - Why the fuck are there more money than resources backing it?

There aren't enough money in existence to pay the money owed ffs. How's that for an outlook

My Xgf (EVE) started economics classes to be an accountant - Just to see how rotten the system is, and i paraphrase: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT" - Now she's thinking about jumping ship, since everything is gonna melt down before she has her degree anyway.

Dude, that's the problem, we all agree the guys on wall street are right, not that they are milking us in any way.
They are planning a transatlantic cable just to cut a few milliseconds of trades - This is not what the system was intended for.
