Jesus wept, you're thick.

I don't shop at Walmart, because it's morally equivalent to welfare-check laundering.

Costco average hourly is $20.

They are quite profitable and don't tell their employees to apply for welfare because they were "nice enough" to keep their wage just bellow that threshold.

Wallmart really isn't doing anyone any favors. They can still have low prices while making a decent profit. Instead they choose to push every legal and moral boundary to keep that profit as high as possible.

So no, Wallmart bashing isn't a tired fad. Not until they stop exploiting people. I buy nothing there not as a form of protest but because nearly everything they sell is garbage. Someonesname is an oligarch apologist, nothing more. It's probably because his ideal self is an oligarch. Unfortunately his real self and his ideal self rarely meet - something that is supposed to happen during your teenage years in normal development.

Long story short it's either too much positive parental reinforcement, or a total lack of it. Usually this "Im extra awesome" charade goes hand in hand with racism too.

My count says 10/20 or 18/50

But when did anyone argue that democrats in congress are poor? Members of congress on both sides are generally far better off than the vast majority of people they represent.

And that was TOTALLY the intentions of going for congress. Not to speak for the will of the people. Not to represent the views of your voters. Not to do what is best for your country. IT'S FOR THE DOLLA BILLZ YO!!!

fuckwads should be paid $50k tops so that they run for things they are actually passionate about instead of cash. Plus when you run for office in order to avoid any under the table shit from corporations you should have auditors on their ass constantly.

Walmart doesn't exploit anything. They are only worth as much as you and I. And apparently, you think they are worthy enough to spend money at

As you can tell, general work - cleanliness - and customer service is a large part of what makes a lot of buyers. Hence, I shop at Costco often. Never Sams, never Walmart. If you think Walmart shouldn't be able to do what they are doing, how about you bitch to the people that HAVE MADE and CONTINUE to make Walmart? OH WAIT -- THEY DONT HAVE A CHOICE!! THEY HAVE A GUN TO THEIR HEAD!!!

Only someone as dumb as Pyramid goes around chanting that Walmart shopping isn't a choice

Most of them are rich before they are ever elected and they don't become wealthier in office because we pay them so well. Members of congress make money off of the insider info they have via investments.

Members of congress only make $175k a year. That is a nice salary but when you consider that they need to maintain their home in their home state plus secure a place to live in DC and constantly shuttle between the two, it's not really that much. Members of congress frequently live together in their DC apartments because of the cost of living in the area.

There are two arguments about this: pay them well so they don't face temptation. Make them immune to financial pressure from the outside. Then there's what you said, where a career in politics should be something you do on top of another line of work. They show up maybe 50 days of the year anyway, while receiving a full salary with benefits... Then deplore how the rest of us are "freeloaders"

I see it both ways. I think politicians should get a decent wage but nothing too extravagant. Agreed on the auditors but what can you do - apparently it's okay to hide your taxes, and it doesn't raise any red flags for half of the population.

They were all rich before they went in to Congress, and the big money comes after they leave. Reducing the salary would, ironically, drive out the people who weren't rich since they really couldn't afford to live decently on that much money in the DC area.

They might not be on the floor of Congress, but most Congressman work like dogs nearly every day of the year. It's not an easy job. It's an unusual kind of "work," but they're not just lounging around collecting checks.

Big solution to these issues:
Term limits
Reform campaign finance

Let's not forget that the average Walmart store costs state and local governments an average of $400k a year, for a store of 200 associates. Not to mention the "part time" and management abuse they take.

But that doesn't come without repercussions. People such as myself and plenty of others won't step foot inside places like Walmart for these reasons. Nevertheless, their success can clearly be seen.

I've come to the conclusion your real name is Hitler Walton, and you will never work a day in your inbred misbegotten life because you think you're "too good" for manual labor. Fucking elitist.
